ACL FESTIVAL 2012

ACL FESTIVAL IS IN FULL SWING.  ALL I CAN REALLY SAY IS....BLACK KEYS.....THE FRICKING BLACK KEY WERE AMAZING.  ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS I HAVE EVER SEEN.....EVER.

MET THE WHEELER BROS. AT THE PRESS TENT.  HAVE BEEN LISTEN TO THEIR MUSIC ON KUT (AUSTIN'S INCREDIBLY RADIO).  I ASKED 2 QUESTIONS......WORST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED ON TOUR THIS YEAR......LOTS OF ANSWERS FROM ALL 4 OF THEM.  BEST THING........NO ANSWERS.   THEIR MUSIC IS A NICE MIX OF COUNTRY ROCK BUT EDGY.  SEEMS TO BE THE THEME THIS YEAR.  WILL BE GOING TO STUBB'S AFTER SHOW BUT FIRST JACK WHITE AND NEIL YOUNG!! TONIGHT!!

Festivals to Come

It's been a while but expect an upswing coming:


1.) Adams Street Fair--biggest Southern free music festival-Last weekend in Sept.  Don't miss it!!  No idea who will perform but always a good show......CREEPY CREEPS!!!!

2.) ACLFESTIVAL - Austin outdoor festival Oct 12-14th....this will be my 10th year and the festival's 11th.  The lineup includes Neil Young, Jack White, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Black Keys......Looking forward to it all.....music, food, people, freaks. 

3.) Telluride Jazz Fest special report from our man in the field--Saz.....pics and story coming soon......supposedly this is "the best".

Gregory, thanks for an incredible show last night at LeStats in Normal Heights. Beautiful, sweet guitar work and fabulous story telling. As I said, Leon Redbone would be proud.
